I was taking photos of this lavender bush for my depth of field assignment, and I had to stop and get a few (tons) of photos of this bee. I don't like things that can sting me, but I have to admit he's rather beautiful.

I'm loving my camera! Look at the fluffiness on his back and the patterns on his wings! Gorgeous.
Lovely pictures. I almost want to go up and pet the little fuzzy bee.
ReplyDeleteThose are great pictures...I can tell you have a nice camera (and that you're very talented, too!)
ReplyDeleteBlablover: You'd wish you hadn't...by the way, what do your bees look like in the US & Canada? They're always harping on about "African bees" but I'm not sure what any other kind looks like!
ReplyDeleteJess: Thank you so much! I know the first one's a smidge blurry, but I like it anyway...
the mermaid is awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteUm. What mermaid? Confused!
ReplyDeleteI realise this is nit-picky, but all worker bees are female. :) The male drones surround the queen and feed/care for her. The bee in your pictures is a girl.
ReplyDeleteHaha, Raisin'Cookies, you are so right! I sort of knew that, once upon a time! But I definitely didn't remember it here. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I forgot to say -- great pictures! I love your work. :)
